Soroptimist International of Grass Valley (SIGV), in partnership with Sierra College Foundation, Nevada County Campus presents “A Day for Women” - a women’s conference - on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Sierra College Campus.  For thousands of women over the decades, this has been an opportunity to spend a day improving skills and developing new interests that affect their lives in a positive way. Each year, over a hundred women come together on campus for this insightful and networking day.

For over 50 years, the Soroptimist International of Grass Valley (SIGV) has promoted the advancement of women and children in our community through volunteer service.  We have supported women re-entering the workplace, KARE Crisis Nursery, Bell Hill Academy, the White Barn project benefitting 4H and FFA families, and much more.   Sierra College Foundation NCC supports Sierra College Nevada County students and programs by offering scholarships and emergency funds, assisting veterans returning to college, supporting foster youth now on their own, and supplying materials for campus academic programs.

Women will have a chance to take 3 of 18 workshops offered in a day filled with fun, information and friendship.  Lunch is provided with a chance to win beautiful raffles items.  

Networking is encouraged.
